STORYTELLING VIDEOS

Chris Mueller was a soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was talented enough where there were rumblings that he might even get drafted into the MLS (Major League Soccer). Wisconsin is known for putting athletes into the NFL, and to a lesser extent the NBA, but rarely does a UW soccer player get the same opportunity to go pro - there are simply not as many resources and eyeballs on the sport. I joined forces with Chris Mueller to produce an "All-Access" storytelling video, demonstrating Chris' mentality, work ethic, and skill to teams during the pre-draft process, with the goal of increasing comfort level scouts had with Chris so they would be more likely to draft him. We then ran a targeted marketing campaign in which we targeted the video to soccer fans and team employees in the cities of every team possessing a top 10 draft pick. The end result: Chris was drafted 6th overall by Orlando City SC.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

At ADM, we offered a "Marketplace Banking" service that was highly useful to any public or private entity managing large deposits. Because the mechanisms by which this service was offered were highly complicated, the marketing department was tasked with simplifying the concepts in ways customers would be able to easily understand. We executed on this by ushering in a complete rebrand, redesigning the website, updating the copy, and producing brand new literature and media, strengthening the arsenal for the sales teams. We created explainer videos for "Marketplace Banking" tailored to a specific customer base, and supplemented those across customer touchpoints by way of email, social media, print, and more. We purchased strategic sponsorships and strengthened our digital presence by producing blog and vlog content that positioned our firm as a thought-leader in the industry. I'm proud to have served as the main project manager for the rebrand and creation of these materials.

GETTING THINGS SEEN - ORGANIC REACH

It's one thing to have a strong piece of content, but getting it seen by hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people is an entirely different ballgame, one that is oftentimes very expensive. I utilized tactical social media strategies to cultivated a network of social media accounts capable of producing massive organic reach, leading to more opportunities for all those involved.

PRESENTING DATA IN A WAY THAT SELLS

It's one thing to have data, but it's another thing to organize it and position it in a way that sells. Below is an example of how I took statistics in the table above and turned them into an intriguing piece of content that spurs action.

MASTERCLASS ONLINE COURSES

Online courses are hot and especially useful in the current marketing landscape because they position the teacher as a "Thought Leader", something that brings value and opportunities to the individual and firm for which he/she works. Below are two examples of online courses I produced that offer extreme value to the viewer, one of which teaches music production in Pro Tools, and the other which teaches how to utilize Facebook groups in the current landscape.

PODCASTS

Podcasts are exploding. I utilize passive content in the form of podcasts to offer value in a passive manner. They offer alternative long-form content to video and position individuals and brands as modern, in tune, and with the times. The prestige that comes with being on a platform such as Spotify or Apple Podcasts helps people, companies and brands stand out from other competitors and make it easy for people to approach them. Below are several examples of podcasts I've produced and distributed for individuals, teams, and brands.

PRODUCT COMMERCIALS

Sometimes the best way to demonstrate a product and it's features is to show it. IRONJOC is a new clothing brand with the target market of athletes and middle-to-upper class people who are active. Since there are so many choices for athletic apparel, the owner really wanted to emphasize the details that make IRONJOC different and special, while keeping a strong focus on the product. The pieces had to be short enough to work well with the current algorithms and attention span of people on the internet, but also interesting enough to capture and hold attention. Below are the two commercial pieces I produced for that objective.

EMAIL MARKETING

Email remains one of the most effective ways of communicating with customers, clients and prospects. Below are examples of engagement (open and click rates) I've been able to consistently achieve, in addition to two case studies of email campaigns.
